Grounding Wellness
is here for
Parent's Well-Being

I support clients who feel anxious, isolated, and try to juggle all the things, so they can feel calm, connection, and be productive in healthy ways.  I'm here especially for those experiencing baby blues & perinatal mood disorders, at it's a diagnosis near and dear to me.

Ultimately, I focus on parent's wellness by supporting the nervous system at the emotional, mental and physical levels.  I believe in being proactive in your care, so starting as early as possible on your perinatal journey-from preconception, pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and even menopause.

Through Virtual and In-home care, I offer a holistic and integrative approach. This means I focus on the whole you with a toolbox of services because there is no one-size-fits-all approach in one's healing.  Ideally, I work with your care team for a well-rounded approach in your healing journey.

Services include:

~coaching and postpartum doula

~movement and nutrition

What is Holistic Postpartum Care

After welcoming a baby, it is common to no longer have outside care past six weeks of birth (a mythical and arbitrary number that isn't practical).  Parenting may feel isolating, lonely, and harder than you thought it would be, which may give rise to feelings of anxiety, irritation, and frustration.  Then, add on the things you feel ‘should’ get done daily such as cooking, cleaning, connecting with your partner or spouse, which may amplify those feelings.  Up to 80% of birthing people experience the ‘baby blues’, where they may feel down, weepy and not themselves for about 2-3 weeks postpartum.  And approximately 20% (this number has increased since the pandemic) may suffer from a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder, such as depression or anxiety (PMADs).  These feelings are not limited to the birthing person, but can affect pregnant persons, the partner or adoptive parents as well.

Have you been juggling:

  • relationships

  • parenting

  • housework

  • meals

  • me-time

  • and so much more?

  • And ---doing it all while caring for a new human being who can’t communicate-and bonus, doing it on little to no sleep?

Do you dream about someone helping you with these tasks/thoughts because:

  • It's overwhelming and there’s never enough time?

  • You feel isolated or that you have to do it all alone?

  • At the end of the day is your mind racing with all the things you ‘should have’ done?

Holistic Care

  • assists the whole you by looking beyond just the symptoms

and getting to the root cause of your concerns

  • addresses the mind, body, and spirit

  • offers warm and gentle care, time, and attention

  • discusses what is coming up for you personally at different levels, because when one area of our life is out of balance, it can affect many others.

  • For example, if you’re not getting enough rest it may affect your relationships, nutrition, career, and emotional well-being.

You are not meant to do this alone!  â€‹

As a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, I am here to:

  • listen

  • help you find calm

  • make connections

  • help balance those daily tasks

  • reduce the mental load

  • restore your nervous system

  • support the WHOLE you

  • offer a variety of methods to meet your lifestyle needs, which can be used individually, but work best when combined

...so you can experience and enjoy your new role as a parent

(NOTE: I am always willing and happy to work with your care team or refer you to a healthcare professional when needed.)

Let me assist you on your journey of parenthood.

WHY
GROUNDING WELLNESS?

              WHAT IS IT?

It is connecting yourself with the earth to balance all levels of your body.

It is taking a moment to pause. When you are grounded, you're able to be here, in the moment, and ever present.

It is bringing in calm, centeredness, and focus.

Take a moment to examine your day: Are you always on the go? Is there always something to be done? Is it challenging to focus on one thing or complete just one task? Try a quick grounding exercise!

       WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

When we worry about all the things that we did not do or should have done or need to do, our attention isn't in the present moment and we are not grounded.  We may become anxious and overwhelmed and potentially miss those precious, everyday moments-both big and small.

Are you ready to learn and develop the skills to be present, focused, and grounded? My various services offer a space to learn how to slow down yet be productive in healthy ways, experience self-love, and heal-even as a busy parent, so you soak up all that baby love.
